General impression of focus of well-being for students
Tulane is strong in community support. There is certainly not a lack of support or resources available for students who may be struggling or simply need help in any area of wellness. The Wave of Support initiative is impressive and it makes it very clear that both students AND staff are there to help any Tulane community member for any reason. The Green Bandana Project allows students to physically see who is there to support others.
When will students get referred out and to whom?
Students will be referred to a community provider after 12 sessions in an academic year. A dedicated CAPS Care Coordinator will assist with the referral process. The session limit does not include emergency consultations, group therapy sessions, or psychiatric appointments.
