General impression of focus of well-being for students
UARK CAPS appears very inclusive, personalized, and well staffed. Especially impressive are the embedded clinicians in university housing and the ample support for students in recovery.
They have done a great job with outreach via social media channels to increase awareness of supports and events. There are several channels available for students to follow.
Holistic approach is visible throughout all offerings focusing on mental health, wellness, and overall well-being.
When will students get referred out and to whom?
Anything past “short-term” and “specific issue” will result in clinicians assisting for referral options. UARK has their own referral database for outside providers: https://uark.miresource.com/
